FLUORESCENT / NEON BASECOAT PAINT – FLUORESCENT MAGENTA

Perfect Pearls and Pigments Fluorescent basecoat is fantastic for high impact bright paint effects. Fluorescence is the emission of light, It is a form of luminescence. This means you get a super bright glow that can not be matched with conventional paint.  Perfect Pearls fluorescent range is available in a variety of colours and offers high fluorescing vibrant colour shades. Fluorescent paint also glows when lit in the dark with a UV black light lamp.

It can be used in a wide variety of paint applications such as bikes/helmets and wheels but due the the nature of fluorescent paint its important to note that the painted surface should not be unnecessarily exposed to sunlight. Given fluorescents high sensitivity to UV rays (sunlight), outdoor application and prolonged and direct exposure to sunlight are therefore not recommended. Applying a high quality 2k clear coat with UV stabilisers will slow this process. Best results are achieved using a white ground coat.

How to apply

Prepare the job in the same way you normally would – removing imperfections, priming, sanding etc
Stage 1 – Apply white basecoat 2-3 coats (full coverage).
Stage 2 – Apply fluorescent colour  3-5 coats or to achieve final desired effect (max 5 coats)
Stage 3 – Apply high quality 2K clear coat/lacquer (as directed by manufacturer).

Please allow each single coat 20mins flash off time (drying to a dull finish) before applying next coat
